Taken from the Surreal Sound course for magazine editors and music website maintainers.

  • The DJ's Top 10 is the one with the record in it which had an edition of more than 300 copies.

  • The Trainspotter's Top 10 is the one that doesn't contain his own records.

  • The DJ's Top 10 is the one you got really fast.

  • The Trainspotter's Top 10 is the one that came in late, because it needed to be compared to the Top 10's of other Trainspotters, and with the book with the xeroxed labels, because his play copies are all stickered, and the sealed ones are in a safe in Geneva.

  • The Trainspotter's Top 10 is the one that won't contain: ... where he got the records.

  • The DJ's Top 10 is the one with no records older than the expiration date on the milk in his fridge. (heavy one)

  • The DJ's top 10 is the one that contains: "ehmmm... the new one by those guys from ehmmm... on the label with that logo you know? Anyways, the second track on the b-side of that one."

  • The Trainspotters Top 10 is the one that contains: "Rhythim is Rhythim - It is what it is, transmat, ms 6, 1988, black, 20/80, Bob, 10, Warm but cloudy with a little rain later in the day."

(artist, title, label, year, matrix #, colour of the vinyl, lever position of the vinyl mixer, name and shoe size of the guy who mastered it, weather forecast for the city on the day it was pressed)
