Corporate 09 History

The history of the Finnish electro group Corporate 09 dates back to the early 1990's when the experimentally tuned minds of Mika Vainio and Pertti Grönholm were encountered in Turku. After the debuting releases of Corporate 09, Mika Vainio concentrated on his solo projects and is nowadays best known as Ø and a member of Pan sonic. Pertti Grönholm is today the mastermind of Corporate 09, Dystopia (with Ismo Virta) and Project JPO. His projects have been released on several Finnish and Belgian labels like Unitunes, Cyberware Productions and Barramundi. In addition he has produced music and sound environments for media programmes and art exhibitions. From Corporate 09 was a production ordered by Finnish Broadcasting Company (YLE) in May 1997. A new record label by Corporate 09, called Valimo Productions, was started in 2000.
