Padded Cell return with the third 12" release for DC Recordings, the seasoned pairing of Richard Sen (Bronx Dogs) and Neil Higgins (Dirty Beatniks) once again summoning up their disco demons into the cold surgical light of their Padded Cell.

With a nod to the vintage sounds of Italo-disco but moving with a distinctly dub swagger, their newest creation "Moon Menace" is a brooding nocturnal creature with wild hedonistic tendencies. Anyone who experienced the remarkable "Signal Failure" (DCR64) will recognise kindred characteristics.

"Face Of The Forest" is an entirely different beast assembled out of various No Wave stooges. The bottom end shakes in some Moody South Bronx style while the whole writhes in Contortions; this is an unwholesome and energetic monster, which recalls an older incarnation from Padded Cell's 2006 releases "Are You Anywhere?" (DCR67).

Once more the Padded Cell's retro-futuristic approach to sonic creation has lead to the revival of dance music's wilder creatures. Expect more to appear later in 2007 in the form of a Long Player album.
