NOTE: This picture disc was released in a transparent sleeve with a title sticker on top as a promo (as the small separate sticker in front of the cover says). It definitely preceeded Vakio (I bought my copy in our local techno recordstore in summer 1995 and when I came in the next time [must have been a few weeks] they sold the then-newly released Vakio quadruple-box).

As far as I know, Vakio has been re-released as a CD and "common" double album about 2 or 3 years later after being out of stock for a while (rumour says, it has been remixed and slightly differs from the box). - Denis Barthel.

NOTE: not titles as marked on sleeve. Picture disc is limited to 150 copies (the tracks are maybe earlier versions to the ones on CD?); one track has a different title from the CD version (obviously)? It might have come out before the CD. There is also a quadruple 10" box, clear vinyl with all the tracks, released in January '96. - Peter Gebert [see Denis Barthel's note above].

"The series of concerts staged on occasion of the exhibition Frequencies [Hz] Audio-Visual Spaces Frankfurt, February - April 2002, documents the exhibited artists work with sound in space as a performative enunciation of their practice. It also introduces a range of other artists and musicians who work in similar contexts and who relate to the exhibiting artists' use of sound as a core element of their installational work. All artists involved have contributed to developing a new language of electronic sound and continue to push the limits of art and music production. The exhibition and the concert series provide a platform for exploration and experience of different approaches to sound and art.
