Kirje 2 - Pomon testamentti (The Letter 2 - Testament of the
Boss) is
a
sequel to the short film Kirje - The Letter of 2015. Out early 2017.
The old Boss has died, murdered by the corrupt Lieutenant. Now he
finds out the Boss has left behind him a considerable property, stashed
in a secret place. The Lieutenant blackmails a bunch of petty criminals
to do the search for him, with unexpected results...
The Letter 2 is a full-length film paying homage to film
noir, the "hardboiled" crime movies of the 1940s and 50s.
The film is produced at the Media Workshop of Pispalan Kumppanuus in
Tampere, Finland. The shooting for the film started in December 2015 and
ended in December 2016. The locations in Tampere are the Library of
Pispala in
Tahmela, Pispalan Teatteri (Theatre of Pispala) at Pyynikin Trikoo (a
former factory
complex
in Pyynikki), and midtown Tampere. The premiere of the film is expected
for early 2017.
The director-writer Erkki Rautio maintains the music info site pHinnWeb.org, having also had singer-songwriter duties in the electro duo Kompleksi.

Kirje - The Letter 2 synopsis:
Three petty criminals - Vaala, Orko and Tugai - are summoned by the Lieutenant, a corrupt police officer involved in drug trade and murder. The reluctant trio are assigned to search for the alleged fortune by the Boss, the late leader of a crime gang who was murdered by the Lieutenant. They have to search for the elaborate and often mischievous clues left behind by the Boss.
